Sew Exquisite believes in making beautiful, high-quality Christmas ornaments and giving consumers & workers a fair deal in East Java, Indonesia.

Sew Exquisite train their stitchers and sewers to produce beautiful, high-quality work.  After initial training, beginner stitchers are partnered with a senior stitcher who can support them and pass on their skills.  They also host workshops and help each worker to graduate through a range of easy to difficult patterns.

Sew Exquisite is a branch of the Indonesian NGO – Yayasan Silih Asih (Love One Another Foundation). All profit from Sew Exquisite is re-invested into the Foundation to support peace education programmes and social work.

Creating exquisite cross-stitch designs is satisfying and empowering as women are able to work from home while caring for their families. They care for their workers and invest time getting to know each worker and their family. Currently Sew Exquisite employs around 60 part-time stitchers and 4 full-time sewers.

As each stitch work is completed, it is quality checked, hand washed, ironed, trimmed, pinned, and then machine sewn into one of our beautiful decorative items.
